Bernice later worked as a caregiver for five years. Bernice was a strong supporter of the military with eight of her children and grandchildren serving. She enjoyed gardening, canning, playing Euchre and fishing. She loved visiting the casinos with Stuart. Bernice was a very fun loving person and loved to joke with her family and friends. Her positive outlook gave her reason to find hope in every person. Bernice faced every challenge with grace and assured all around her “I’ll be alright”. She loved her dog, Benji who was always by her side. Most important to Bernice were her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed having her family around and was excited at the thought of the new great grandchildren due soon.
