ONA LEE CLIFTON
Ona L. Clifton, 78, of Boynton Beach, FL, died Saturday, November 18, 2006 in her son’s home following a long illness. She was born May 30, 1928 in Lawton, West Virginia to Raymond and Verna (Shawver) Warren. She married Thomas Clifton in 1950. He died May 5, 1976.
Ona and her husband owned and operated a Ready Mix Plant in Pontiac until her retirement in 1992. She then moved to Florida working several years as a caregiver. Ona loved to walk.
Ona is survived by her sons: Bruce (Anne) Clifton of Clarkston, Keith (Mary) Clifton of Columbiaville, Tom Clifton of West Bloomfield, Rodney (Teresa) Clifton of Cass City, Douglas (Glenda) Clifton of Otter Lake, Mark Clifton of Boynton Beach, FL; grandchildren: Brian Clifton, Haile, Clifton, Jennifer (Brian) Smotherman, Caidy Clifton, Ben Clifton, Lisa, Justin Clifton, Dan Clifton, Sheryl Clifton, Chris Clifton, Amanda Clifton; great grandchildren: Ethan and Carter; sister, June Patterson. She is preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Gallardo.
A memorial service for Ona and her son, Mark, will be held Saturday, December 30 at 11:00 a.m. in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Chuck Emmert of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Ona will be buried with her husband in Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
