PHYLLIS ANN CHILDS,
76, of Kingston, died unexpectedly Sunday, November 1, 2015 in her home. She was born March 15, 1939 in Caro to Orson and Anna (Smith) Marlow. Phyllis married Marvin Childs November 14, 1958 in Akron. He died January 2, 2009.
Phyllis was a longtime member of Dayton Center Church. She was a good farm wife to Marvin. She always had an interest in the farm and loved farming. Phyllis enjoyed gardening and working with flowers. She had a fondness for puzzle books, reading and bird watching; especially, watching for hummingbirds.
Phyllis is survived by her children: Dale (Anna) Childs of Kingston, Cindy (Wayne) Heckman of Tucson, AZ; Beth (Timothy) Lovelace of Adrian; grandchildren: Nathan (Kristin) Childs, Kimberly (Matthew) Burkinshaw, Rebekah Childs, Craig (Sarah) Heckman, Ryan Heckman, Stephen (Jocelyn) Lovelace, Matthew Lovelace; great grandchildren: Matthew, Mark, Annalise, Lilyana, Halcyon; sister-in-law, Helen Marlow of Saginaw; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Dorothy Kreger, Naomia Dietz, Laverne Marlow, Robert Marlow, Hugh Marlow.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2015 in Dayton Center Church with Rev. Taylor McManigell officiating. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery.
