RICHARD LEE "RICK" BURLESON,
61, of Caro, died unexpectedly Sunday, February 17, 2013 in his home. He was born May 21, 1951 in Dearborn to James and Yvonne (Mittlestat) Burleson.
Rick served in the U.S. Navy. He worked various jobs including jobs in construction and copper and turquoise mining in Arizona. Rick's many life experiences gave him knowledge and talents for many tasks including landscaping and home improvements. He was always willing to help his family and friends. Rick loved hunting and fishing, especially deer and rabbit hunting.
Rick is survived by his children: Paige Burleson of Seattle, WA, Burgandy Burleson-Romero of Tucson, AZ, Christopher Burleson of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren: Devon, Dillon, Dymerin, Aydin, Skyler, Sadie and Gavin; brothers: James (Diane) Burleson of Mountain Home, AR, Robert (Lou) Burleson of Deford; sisters: Brenda (Bill) Tonak of Westland, Donna (Lester) Auten of Cass City; sister-in-law, Kelly Burleson of Cass City; special friend, Lynn Alessi of Caro; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Burleson; his parents and grandparents.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2013 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Rev. Dennis Kucharczyk of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Caro, officiating. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
