ERNEST MARK “PETE” BULLOCK
Ernest M. Bullock, 89, of Decker, died Friday, December 26, 2008 in Sanilac County Medical Care Facility, Sandusky following a brief illness. He was born March 12, 1919 at home in Evergreen Township to William and Mary (McComb) Bullock. He married Emma Edith Kitchin June 30, 1942 in Emma’s parent’s home in Evergreen Township.
Ernest was a crop and dairy farmer. He worked for a few years for Active Industries in Elkton and for Gerden Industries in Marlette. Ernest retired as a carpenter working commercial construction after about ten years. He was a member of Mizpah Missionary Church for many years. Ernest enjoyed rabbit hunting in his younger years and he enjoyed woodworking.
Ernest is survived by his wife, Emma; children: Donald (Virginia) Bullock of Decker, David (Penny) Bullock of Saginaw, Dale (Fay) Bullock of Sandusky, Diane K. Bullock of Sandusky; grandchildren: Laurie Ganzberg, Kristin (Jeff) Fuller, Lynette (Matt) Waligora, Nanette Horst, Bradley (Lori) Bullock, Nicholas (Deb) Bullock, Cori (Christopher) Schuster; brother, Stanley (Margaret) Bullock of Caro; sister-in-law, Merle Kitchin; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by brothers and sisters-in-law: Omar (Lila) Bullock, Clarence (Helen) Bullock, Frank (Miriam) Bullock, John (Alberta) Bullock; sister, Thelma Sterling.
Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2008 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Pastor JT Mabe of Mizpah Missionary Church officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Township Cemetery.
