John C. Bulla, 81, of Cass City, died Sunday, September 3, 2006 in Huron Medical Center Bad Axe. He was born October 20, 1924 at home in Austin Township to John D. and Catherine (Gillis) Bulla. He married Clara F. Periso October 19, 1952 in St. Michael Catholic Church, Wilmot.
John attended Cumber Rural School and Ubly High School. He served in the US Navy during World War II in the Seventh Fleet between New Guinea and the Philippines. He worked at Pontiac Motors and Active Industries. John enjoyed the outdoors.
John is survived by his wife, Clara; children: Lawrence (Gail) Bulla of Deford, Arthur Bulla of Elkton, Hugh Bulla of Elkton; 16 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters: Helen Bulla of Pontiac, Josephine Bulla of Pontiac, Irene Olczak of Lansing; brother, Michael Bulla of Ubly; many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his son, John Bulla; sister, Florence Sweeney; infant brothers: Hugh and James.
Funeral service held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2006 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Scott Mills of St. Pancratius Catholic Church officiating. Memorials may be made to Charity of the Donors Choice. Interment will take place in Novesta Township Cemetery.
