RUTH ANN BROWN
76, of Kingston, died Thursday, October 20, 2022 in her home. She was born June 1, 1946 in Mt. Clemens
to Robert Leveer and Virginia Ruth (Nipple) King. She married Albert James Brown on August 26, 1967 in Kingston.
Ruth Ann graduated from Kingston High School in 1964 and worked in the library while attending Ferris State University. She loved working with children during her time spent as a library aide for Kingston Community Schools. Ruth Ann was also a homemaker and sold Stanley home products for many years. She was an active member of Kingston Wesleyan Church, Wesleyan Women, and served as church librarian. Ruth Ann was also a member of Thumb Thimbles Quilt Guild. She enjoyed quilting, leathercrafting, and working with books. As a 4-H leader, she taught hand tooled leather and was goat superintendent for over fifteen years.
Ruth Ann is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Albert; children: Corey (Angie) Brown of Lexington, NC; Ryan (Laura) Brown of Kernersville, NC; Stacey (Janet) Brown of Sandusky; five grandchildren: Sarah, Nathan, Nikkola, Micah, Heather; siblings: Doris (Doug) Green of Jacksonville, FL, Paul (Milly) King of Kingston; Robin (Lori) King of Kingston; Martha (Francis) Rayl of Cass City; sister-in-law, Dianne King of Bay City; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; Grandma and Grandpa Nipple; brothers: Bobbie King, Roger King, Carl King.
Funeral service held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2022 in Kingston Wesleyan Church with Pastor Len Wyatt officiating. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery. Pallbearers for Ruth Ann will be: Nathan Brown, Micah Brown, Paul Brown, Johnny Brown, Tim Brown, Jeremy King, Jeremy Rayl, Jeffery Paul King. Memorials may be made to the Kingston Wesleyan Church.
