MORRIS DAVID BROWN,
72, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 1, 2020 after a lengthy illness in Covenant Medical Center Harrison Campus, Saginaw. He was born in Cass City March 8, 1948 to Willis R. and Loretta S. (Jackson) Brown.
Morris attended Cass City High School and graduated in 1966. After school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he proudly served his country, as an infantryman, during the Vietnam War. Following the war, Morris attended Saginaw State College and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in business. Morris was employed by Walbro Corporation for many years, spending time in the Cass City and Tucson, Arizona locations. He lived most of his life in Cass City with the exception of a few years in Florida and Arizona.
Morris is survived by his sister, Linda Mika; sister-in-law, Jill (Wayne) Brown; brother-in-law, Tino (Wanda) Benetiz; several nieces, nephews and his longtime companion, Bonnie Sauceda.
Graveside service held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2020 in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Military honors conducted by the U.S. Army and the Cass City V.F.W. Post #3644. Friends may share memories, prayers and photos with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or Vietnam Veterans of America. In accordance with the current executive order regarding COVID-19, social distancing and wearing facial coverings will be observed.
