M. Brown

M. Dale Brown, 77, of Cass City, died Saturday, April 2, 2005 in his home after a long illness He was born March 23, 1928 in Elmwood Township to Bruce and Eliza (Clow) Brown. He married Pauline A. Hendrick February 22, 1950 in Cass City.
Dale served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked for Walbro Manufacturing for about 35 years. He attended Colwood United Brethren in Christ Church. Dale enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada. He enjoyed camping and spending time by the river. Dale truly loved and enjoyed his children and grandchildren.
Dale is survived by his wife, Pauline; children: Linda (John) Smentek of Crete, IL, Randy (Deborah) Brown of Akron, OH, LaDonna (Paul) Bliss of Cass City; grandchildren: Estée (Ian) Hyde, Chenelle Smentek, April (Scott) Smallwood, Amber Brown, Samuel Brown, Anthony (Carrie) Brown, Nicholas (Jeralyn) Bliss; great grandchildren: Hailee, Lafayette and Monique; several nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his brothers: Ray Brown, Arlan Brown and Arthur Brown.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2005 in Colwood United Brethren in Christ Church, Caro with Pastor Rocky Spear officiating. Memorials may be made to United Hospice of Marlette or Colwood United Brethren in Christ Church. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Brown: Paul Bliss, Nicholas Bliss, John Smentek, Paul Brown, Harland Lounsbury and Jerry Toner. Military honors under the direction of Cass City VFW Post #3644.
