LINDA SUE (YOUNG) BROWN,
61, of Ubly, died following a brief illness Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. She was born August 30, 1955 in Cass City the youngest of two children born to Clare and Georgene (Lowe) Brown.
Linda graduated from Cass City High School in 1973. She worked for over 20 years for Cass City Mutual Savings. Currently Linda was working as a receptionist for CKS Tool and Engineering in Bad Axe where she has worked for the last 20 years. She enjoyed traveling especially the many cruises she took with friends. Linda was a people person and would do anything for anybody. She loved spending time with family and friends. But her love of animals was well known especially the Bassett Hounds and Cocker Spaniels she accepted as her family over the years, most recently Sam and Bud who went on before her.
Linda is survived by her sons: Ryan (Tenielle Farver) Young of Bad Axe; Nick (Rachelle Connolly) Young of Ubly; grandchildren: Keagan, Kenzington, Kembrianna, Alli-Lynn; parents: Clare and Georgene Brown of Ubly; brother, William "Bill" (Sandra) Brown of Cass City; nieces, nephews and their families: Mike (Emily) Brown, Logan and Alexis; Kelly (Michael) Murphy, Devin and Madison, and Trever Brown.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. Linda Graham of Fraser Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Pallbearers for Linda: Michael Brown, Trever Brown, Ken Brown, Bradley Calahan, Jack Hillaker and Tim Brown. Memorials may be made to Thumb Animal Shelter, 2260 S. Elkton Road, Elkton, MI 48731, Family Discretionary Fund or Fraser Presbyterian Church.
