ALBERT JAMES BROWN
78, of Kingston, died Sunday, February 19, 2023 in Medilodge of Cass City. He was born August 10, 1944 in Bad Axe to Wesley and Maude (Nicholas) Brown. He married Ruth Ann King on August 26, 1967 in Kingston. She died October 20, 2022.
Albert graduated from Bad Axe High School in 1962 and Delta College in 1987. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army during Vietnam. Albert was employed by Morarity Lumber and Wickes Lumber. Later, he worked as a salesman for Schwan’s Food Service where he was a top new account specialist and recipient of a safe driving award. Albert was also a licensed auctioneer, 4-H leader, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5666 of Fairgrove, a life member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter #75 of Caro, and the Kingston Wesleyan Church. Alberts hobbies included woodworking, fishing and hunting. He also raised rabbits to sell and chickens because he loved to sell eggs.
Albert is survived by his children: Corey (Angie) Brown of Lexington, NC; Ryan (Laura) Brown of Kernersville, NC; Stacey (Janet) Brown of Sandusky; five grandchildren: Sarah, Nathan, Nikkola, Micah, Heather; brother, Thomas (Virginia) Brown of Daytona Beach, FL; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and sister, Patricia Rooney.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2023 in Kingston Wesleyan Church with Pastor Len Wyatt officiating. Military honors conducted by the American Legion Post #7 and the U.S. Army Honor Guard. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery. Pallbearers for Albert will be: Nathan Brown, Micah Brown, Johnny Brown, Tim Brown, Jeremy King, Jeremy Rayl, Jeff King, Mark King. Memorials may be made to the Kingston Wesleyan Church or the Albert Brown family.
