BILLY RONALD BRANHAM,
83, of Cass City died following a short illness Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in McLaren Bay Region, Bay City. He was born August 26, 1932 in Portsmouth, OH the second of two children born to Hiram and Violet F. (Bodmer) Branham. He married Betty Dorothy Nelson October 18, 1957 in Indiana.
Billy served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked in the steel industry for Jones and Laughlin Steel Company and then LTV Steel in Warren for many years until his retirement. Billy enjoyed hunting, especially hunting deer with his bow. He made his own bows and arrows. Billy also enjoyed fishing, working around the house and working on cars. Playing country music on his guitar was a favorite pastime also.
Billy is survived by his wife, Betty; daughters: Cheryl Glassford of Cass City, Linda Branham of Deford; grandchildren: Kristy (Jonathan) Sherman, Brad Glassford; Great Grandchildren - Hope Stilson & Aaron Sherman, Kristy Sherman's children. He is preceded in death by his sister, Norma "Jean" Clancy.
