RUSSELL LEE BRADLEY, JR.
Russell L. Bradley, Jr., 73, of Deford died following many health struggles Monday, January 14, 2019 in University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor. He was born August 1, 1945 in Grayling to Russell Lee and Rosa (Tincham) Bradley. He married Janet Mae Hurd Parrish July 27, 2001 in Ubly.
After graduating from high school, Russell joined the U.S. Army. He served with the First Cavalry in Vietnam serving from 1962 through 1966. Russ worked for the Village of Cass City Department of Public Works for 34 years. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. Russ was a member of Deford Community Church. He truly loved nature and watching all the wildlife in his back yard. Russ was an animal lover and his cats, Shasta and Misty, miss him already.
Russell is survived by his wife, Janet; children: Juanita (Floyd) Myers of Midland, Dawn (Steve) Bradley of Kissimmee, FL, Bradford (Mary) Bradley of Cass City, Andrew (Amanda) Bradley of Caro; daughter-in-law, Lisa Bradley of Cass City; grandchildren: Kristen, William, Jeremiah; sisters: Janet Dudock of Flint, Ida (Norman) Jones of Pinconning, Kathy (William) Lang of Rose City; many nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by Janet’s family: Dawn (Carl ‘Chip’) Parrott of Branchville, SC, David (Lisa) Parrish of Grand Junction, CO, Jeff (Cyndi) Parrish of Cass City, Michael Parrish of Branchville, SC, Jamie (Amanda) Parrish of Clarkston and their families. He is preceded in death by his son, Gary Lee Bradley; sister and brother-in-law, Luanna and Lowell Chestnut and his parents.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 in Deford Community Church with Pastor David Cooper officiating. Memorials may be made to Tuscola County Pet Friendz or Deford Community Church. Military honors under the direction of VFW Post #3644 and U.S. Army.
