JACQUELINE “JACKIE” KAREN BRADLEY
70, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Friday, January 29, 2021 in Hills and Dales General Hospital, Cass City. She was born December 29, 1950 in Saginaw to Jacob Fredrick and Ferndale (Yax) Schmitt. She was married to Garry Cox, Sr. in 1969.
Jackie worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Concept Care of Gagetown, Golden Years Retirement Home of Marlette, Fisher Senior Care and Rehab Center of Mayville, and Autumnwood of Deckerville. Her favorite hobbies included playing cards and marbles. Jacqueline also enjoyed fishing and trying her luck at the casino. She especially loved spending time with her sister, Janet Guthrie.
Jackie is survived by her sons: Garry (fiancée, Dawn) Cox, Jr. of Laingsburg, Rick (Tracy Lynn) Cox of Caro; grandchildren: Austin (Stephanie) Cox, Brenden Cox, Angelica Cox, Mickayla Cox, Anastasia Cox, Natasha Gammit, Alley Pero, Brett Droptiny; great grandsons: Sylas Cox, Zander Cox brothers: Cecil (Barb) Schmitt of Saginaw, Marvin Schmitt of Akron, who told her that he loved her every day; several nieces and nephews including her very special niece, Kimberly Periso of Cass City; special great nephew, Corbin Ruth of Cass City; special friend, Judy Johnson of Peck; Jackie’s companion of over thirty years, Doyle Bradley. She is preceded in death by her son, Rodney Cox; infant sister, Jane Schmitt; sister, Janet Guthrie; brothers: Lloyd Schmitt, Charles Schmitt, Eugene Schmitt, Phillip Schmitt, Milton Schmitt.
Private family funeral service held in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Pastor Larry Orchard of The Potter's House-New Hope Christian Fellowship, Croswell officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Garry Cox, Jr. for the Family Discretionary Fund.
