WESLEY BENJAMIN �"BEN” BOYL
W. Ben Boyl, 66, of Kingston, died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 24, 2007 in Marlette Regional Hospital. He was born May 14, 1940 at home in Kingston to Wesley P. and Jean F. (D’Arcy) Boyl. He married Nancy Froede September 28, 1963 on the family homestead in Caro.
Ben graduated from Kingston High School in 1958 and from Central Michigan University with a degree in Industrial Arts in 1964. He worked as a General Manager for Marlette Homes, Walbro Manufacturing and Active Homes from where he retired after over 14 years of service. Since his retirement, Ben worked as a substitute teacher in the Tuscola County area, a job he truly loved. He served, for many years, on the Kingston Community School District Board of Education, the last six or seven as President. Ben was an active member of the Kingston United Methodist Church, serving on many committees over the years. He enjoyed sports and was an avid football fan. He truly loved and enjoyed his family and friends. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he loved spending time with them.
Ben is survived by his wife, Nancy; children: Scott (Glenda) Boyl of Kingston, Jeff (Lisa) Boyl of Fishers, IN, Justin (Alischia) Boyl of Kingston; grandchildren: Zachary, Jenna, Kaleb, Hannah, Wesley, Brennen and his seventh grandchild due in August; mother, Jean F. Boyl of Kingston; special daughter and her family, Deb (Joe) Hart, Ben, Louie, Maria, Addie; sister, NoraJean (Tom) Little of Cass City; brother, Wayne (Karen) Boyl of Otsego; brothers-in-law: William Froede of Kingston, Jim (Sheila) Froede of Deford; sister-in-law, Kay (Cap) Caverly of Kingston; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Wesley P. Boyl.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2007 in Kingston United Methodist Church with Pastor Rick Brown officiating. Memorials may be made to Kingston High School Scholarship Fund or Kingston United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Boyl: James Froede, Ken Distlerath, Dennis Steele, Jeff Machota, Dan Shaw, Jim Jensen.
