Jean Boyl

Jean F. Boyl, 93, of Kingston, died Sunday, June 19, 2011 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. She was born November 8, 1917 in Burlington Twp, Lapeer County, to Benjamin and Marian (Cornell) D'Arcy. She married Wesley P. Boyl November 16, 1935 in North Branch. He died January 7, 1990.

Jean graduated from North Branch High School in 1933 at the age of fifteen. She enjoyed sewing and was employed by Quality House Draperies for 22 years as a seamstress. Jean was a member of Farm Bureau and the Friendship Club. She was active in the Foster Grandparents program with the Kingston Schools by volunteering her time. Jean attended the Kingston United Methodist Church and previously attended the Silverwood Methodist Church. In addition to sewing, Jean also enjoyed crocheting and gardening.

Jean is survived by her children: Norajean (Thomas) Little of Cass City, Wayne (Karen) Boyl of Otsego; grandchildren: Sherri Little of Caro, Michael Little, Salem, IN, Cindy (Dan) Shaw of Decker, Sandy (Bernie) Wolny of Cass City, Lori (Jim) Jensen of Brown City, Scott (Glenda) Boyl of Kingston, Jeff (Lisa) Boyl of Carmel, IN, Justin (Alischia) Boyl of Kingston, Julie Boyl of Portage, Jason (Henni) Boyl of Portage, Jennie (Tim) Holmes of Oak Grove, KY; 22 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Nancy Boyl; great granddaughters: Lynsey Shaw, Brandi Shaw; sisters, Lilah Liskey, Catherine Slinger; brother, Stuart D'Arcy; sister-in-law Mildred D'Arcy.

Funeral services held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston, with Rev. Debra Brown of Kingston United Methodist Church officiating. Interment is in W. Burlington Cemetery, Silverwood. Pallbearers for Ms. Boyl: Scott Boyl, Jeff Boyl, Justin Boyl, Jason Boyl, Michael Little, Christopher Morrish.
