Alma H. Boitos, 95, of Cass City, died Saturday, August 11, 2012 in Tendercare Nursing Facility, Frankenmuth. She was born January 19, 1917 in Detroit to Carl and Mary (Reher) Stark. She married Michael Boitos June 15, 1940 in Detroit. He died December 30, 1996.
Alma lived in Detroit, where she married Michael. They moved to Cass City in 1969. She attended Living Word Worship Center. Alma enjoyed playing the organ, gardening, crafts, quilting and spending time with her family.
Alma is survived by her siblings: Herbert Stark of Pigeon, Lillian Irion of Frankenmuth, Arthur (Jeanne) Stark of Hastings, NE, William (Betty) Stark of St. Clair Shores and Betty Stark of Sebewaing; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Ronald; siblings: John and Edward Stark, Martha (Paul) Schenk, Ruth (George) Kastraba; infant sisters: Dorothy, Lydia and Elsie; sister-in-law, Dorothy Stark; brother-in-law, Howard Irion.
Funeral services held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 13, 2012 at Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City, with Pastor Mark Karwowski of Living Word Worship Center officiating. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Living Word Worship Center, Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
