HAROLD BLEHM,
88, of Gagetown died following a short illness Saturday, July 28, 2012, in St. Mary's Medical Center, Saginaw. He was born February 11, 1924 in Saginaw to George and Molly (Keller) Blehm. He later married Martha Goodall January 19, 1974 in Cass City. She died September 10, 1998. He married Sylvia June Holsapple November 15, 1998 in Novesta Church of Christ, Cass City.
Harold served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and then 2 years in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He worked as an electrician for Active Industries retiring in 1970 after 25 years. He was a member of Novesta Church of Christ and life member of Cass City VFW Post #3644. Harold enjoyed fishing and ice fishing. At one time he coached the Novesta Church of Christ softball team. He enjoyed traveling and watching sports on television especially the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and Detroit Pistons.
Harold is survived by his wife, June; children: Carla (Art) Keefaver of California, David K. (Debora) Blehm of Filion, Timothy (Jennifer) Blehm of Bad Axe; step-children: Elizabeth Waggoner of Sandusky, Lonnie Gray of Saginaw, Ronald (April) Gray II of Fairgrove, Phillip (Marty) Goodall of Kalamazoo, JoAnna (Roger) Barnes of Kalamazoo, Phyllis Goodall of Kalamzoo, Kathy (Dave) Suzor of Waterford, Robert Goodall of New Hampshire, Rebecca June (Jim) Provost of Lake Orion, Tim (Cathereen) Goodall of New Hampshire; many grandchildren; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother Jacob (Mary) Blehm of Smithfield, NC, brother-in-law, Henry (Cynthia) Bobek of Port Hope; special niece, Sue Wise of Sebewaing; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Dr. Stephan J. Blehm; his wife and mother of his children, Wilma June Justin; brothers: Godfrey, Dave, Henry, George; sisters: Rachelle, Liddy and Molly.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in Novesta Church of Christ with Brad Speirs officiating. Interment is in Novesta Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Blehm: David Blehm, Timothy Blehm, David Dilleree, David Speirs and Skip Speirs. Memorials may be made to Novesta Church of Christ.
