BEVERLY JOYCE (CUMPER) DAILY

     Beverly (Cumper) Daily, 86, of Kingston, died peacefully June 3, 2024 after a short stay in United Hospice, Marlette. She was born March 11, 1938 in Sandusky to Dudley and Merle (Kraft) Cumper and grew up with her brothers Bill and Jim and sister Nancy. Beverly graduated from Marlette High School in year 1956. She went on to attend and graduate from Henry Ford School of Nursing in 1959. It was here that started Beverly’s passion as a registered nurse.  She had worked briefly at St. Luke’s Hospital in Saginaw, a school nurse for three years, but it was at Hills and Dales General Hospital in the Emergency Room for fifty years that she thrived. Bev served her community, touched the lives of her patients and families, advocated for advancements and would meet coworkers that would turn into lifelong friends during her time at Hills and Dales.

     Bea loved her community and enjoyed raising her family and being involved, as she was a member of Kingston United Methodist Church, Nursing Advisory Board of Tuscola Skill Center, Tuscola County Farm Bureau Board, Tuscola County Planning Commission, and Tuscola County Health Board. She has been a resident of Tuscola County since marriage. Beverly married James Daily, April 30, 1960, celebrating their 64^th anniversary this year. Bea loved her family. She was so proud of her grandchildren and all their accomplishments. Bev exhibited kindness to all, was intelligent, always seeking knowledge, she gave great advice and was an amazing listener, gave the best support and always had a smile with a little spark in her eyes. She always faced challenges with such strength and grace. Bea had simple pleasures whether it be going for a drive on a sunny day, eating ice cream or anything sweet, playing scrabble, canning or baking. 

Beverly, Bea, Bev, Beasy-a wonderful and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend and nurse, will be missed by many. 

     Beverly is survived by her husband, James Daily of Kingston; daughter, Janelle (Frank) Hester of Wheatland, WY.; sister, Nancy (Fred) Ruggles of Kingston; brothers: James (Darlene) Cumper of Marlette; William (Carolyn) Cumper of Marlette; brother-in-law, Paul (Mary Ann) Daily of Caro; her beloved grandchildren, Quinnlin Daily of Unionville; Emily Hester of Wheatland, WY; Clay (Victoria) Daily of Oklahoma City, OK; Madissen Hester of Sheridan, WY.  She is preceded in death by her son, Gregory Daily;

parents, Dudley and Merle (Kraft) Cumper; her in laws, Mary Em (Bill) Kleinfelder. 

     Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2024 in Kingston Community Church with Pastor Bill Seitz officiating.    Memorials may be made to United Hospice Service of Marlette, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas and the Leukemia Society of Michigan.  

Visitation:  Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City
