Genevieve B. Bessler, 81, of Cass City, died Monday, February 16, 2009 in United Hospice of Marlette Residence Center. She was born June 5, 1927 in Milford to Thomas A. and Bernice A. (Rydel) Graczyk. She married Fred Edward Bessler February 19, 1944 in Pontiac. He died August 24, 1968.
Genevieve was a member of Novesta Church of Christ. Her faith was very important to her. She was a faithful servant of God. Genevieve loved to garden, participate in outdoor activities and she was a great cook. But, her greatest joy was her family; she cherished her grandchildren and great-grandson.
Genevieve is survived by her children: Carole Ann Bessler of Cass City, Patricia Jane (Mark) Peck of Cass City, Roger A. (Susan) Bessler of Commerce Township, Paul A. (Mickie) Bessler of Cass City; grandchildren: Michael Edginton, Heather (Nick) Fischer, Brian Bessler, Stacey Bessler, Jessica Bessler, Melissa Bessler; great grandson, Caleb Bessler; sisters: Millie Stanlake of Fresno, California, Bernice Lawrence of Commerce Township; brother, Chester Graycheck of Indian River; sister-in-law, Lois Graycheck of Shepherd; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Fred II; sister, Belle Dingle; brothers: Joe Male, John Male, Bill Male and Clifford Graycheck.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2009 in Novesta Church of Christ with Brad Speirs, Youth Minister and Brad Gniewek, Minister Intern, officiating. Interment will be in Mt.
