ELMER C. BALL
Elmer C. Ball, 87, of Mio, formerly of Cass City, died Saturday, November 26, 2005 in St. Joseph Hospital, Tawas. He was born June 12, 1918 at home in Grant Township to John S. and Mary (Gillis) Ball. He married Beverly Kowalsky April 16, 1955 in Pontiac.
Elmer and Bev owned and operated B-Line Charter Bus Company for over 30 years until his retirement in 1975. Elmer worked part time for Trailways Bus Company after he retired. They wintered in Florida eventually settling in Punta Gorda after retiring. Elmer enjoyed deer hunting. He and Bev enjoyed each others company, working and playing together.
Elmer is survived by his wife, Beverly; children: Robert J. Ball of Riverside, CA, Ronald D. (Judy) Ball of National City, Karen K. (Larry) Eaton of Flushing; grandchildren: Jeff Ball, Ronald Ball, Mark Ball, Carl Ball, Michael Eaton, Christopher Ball; Julie Switzonbay, Kim Perez, Tina Fivek; great grandchildren: Taylor, Chad, Keegan, Jacob, Chelcie, Gabriella, Kalvin, Nick, Ryan, Daniel, Joseph, Eric, Michael; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sisters: Virginia Hartwick, Sadie Murray; brothers: Wallie Ball, Lawrence Ball, Kenneth Ball.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2005 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Rev. David Blackburn of Cass City First Presbyterian Church officiating. Memorials may be made to Make A Wish Foundation. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Ball: Michael Eaton, Jacob Eaton, Mark Ball, Carl Ball, Christopher Ball, Randy Hudson.
