Beatrice B. Baker, 75, of Cass City, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 in Tendercare Nursing Facility, Cass City. She was born January 14, 1934 in Bad Axe to Daniel Ernest and Ina Mae (Townley) Reehl. She married James Edward Baker August 17, 1963 in Bad Axe. He died January 27, 1999.
Bea was a very active member of Cass City United Methodist Church. She was a member of UMW and was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Bea was a former Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den Leader. She attended Zonta and Hills & Dales Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She loved angels and collectibles. Bea loved children and babysitting them.
Bea is survived by her children: James (Stephanie) Baker of Cass City, Ruth Ramsey (Scott McLachlan) of Cass City; grandchildren: Austin, Lucas, Brent, and Brad Baker, Shelby and Zach McLachlan; sisters: Betty Scofield of Cass City, Marie (Willet) Langley of Bad Axe; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by sisters: Laura Rapson, Dorothy Goff, Ann Ziegelmann and infant sister, Beverly; brothers: Elger Reehl, Jack Reehl and Martin Reehl.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2009 in Cass City United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Donelson officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery.
