AUDREY JEAN LESLIE
Audrey J. Leslie, 89 of Decker, died Thursday, April 17, 2025 in Stonegate Health Campus, Lapeer. She was born February 2, 1936 in Argyle Township to Louis and Leona (Shagene) Behr. She married Robert Dale Leslie, Sr. on January 3, 1955 in Pontiac.
Audrey graduated from Cass City High School in 1953, attended Pontiac Beauty College and received a cosmetology license. For twenty-one years, she was a partner and worked as a caterer for A&J Catering. Audrey was a school bus driver for Cass City Community Schools for nineteen years. She served as Evergreen Township Supervisor for thirty-four years and retired in 2012. For over thirty years, Audrey was a 4-H leader for the Evergreen Guys and Gals 4-H club. She enjoyed traveling, flower gardening, quilting, going to the casino, and playing cards with family and friends. Audrey was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.
Audrey is survived by her husband of seventy years, Dale; daughters: Diane (James) Hrabec of Davison, Roberta (Brian) Hall of Lake Orion, Hope (John) Gallagher of Plainfield, IL; Merilee (Kenneth) Krucker of Sterling Heights, Ann (Russ) Jenkins of Caro; sons: Robert (Kathy) Leslie Jr. of Decker; Albert (Dawn) Leslie of Decker; twenty three grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; sisters, Beverly (Dale) Mitchell of Carleton, Nancy Palmer of Sandusky; brother: Robert (Karen) Behr of Caro; sister-in-law, Charlotte Behr of Marlette. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Colleen Moore; sisters: Marilyn Voss, Alvena (Troy) Rhinehardt; brother: Ronald Behr; brother-in-law: Robert Palmer.
Visitation held 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2025 and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2025 Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City. Memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2025 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Sanilac County 4-H Fair or Eva’s Place in Sandusky.
