WILMA L. ASHMORE Wilma L. Ashmore, 79, of Cass City, died Friday, March 25, 2005 in St. Marys Medical Center, Saginaw. She was born April 23, 1925 in Colfax Township to Roland and Ann (Quinn) Hartsell. She married David �"Charles Ashmore January 25, 1942 in Elkton. He died January 13, 2001. Wilma retired from Walbro on her 65th birthday after 27 years. She attended Cass City United Methodist Church. Wilma was a member of Seniors Citizens in Gagetown. She enjoyed traveling, puzzles and crossword puzzles. When she was younger she drove hot rod cars at Owendale Speedway. Wilma is survived by her children: Rev. David (Andrea) Ashmore of Colorado Springs, CO, Judy (Tommy) Elliott of Limestone, TN, Roger (Mary) Ashmore of Bay City, Henry Ashmore of Bay City, Dale (Clara) Ashmore of Colorado Springs, CO, Sharon Grant of Saginaw, Karen Mayer of Cass City; 19 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; brothers: William (Thelma) Hartsell of Deford, Leonard (Donna) Hartsell of Owosso; sisters: Elda Straty of Prunesville, Anna Mae (Joseph) Owens of Bridgeport; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Connie; son-in-law, David Grant; brothers Leland, Orville and Roland Hartsell; and sister, Euleta McComb. Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2005, in Cass City United Methodist Church with Rev. George Ward officiating. Interment will be in Grant Township Cemetery, Gagetown. Memorials may be made to Cass City United Methodist Church. Pallbearers for Mrs. Ashmore are her grandsons and granddaughter: Scott Ducolon, Chris Ashmore, Robert Ashmore, Dale Charles Ashmore, Roger Ashmore II, Cory Mayer, and Heidi Sopcak .
