Betty L. Anger, 70, of Kingston, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, March 19, 2009 in St. Mary’s Medical Center in Saginaw. She was born April 14, 1938 in Marlette to Joseph and Mary (Gammage) Peet. She married Don Anger on July 17, 1954 in Mayville.
Betty was a faithful attendee, Sunday school teacher and volunteer at the Kingston Wesleyan Church. She was active in the Clubhouse Children’s Ministry at the church and directed WKFM (Wesleyan Kids for Missions) for 20 years. Betty enjoyed monthly gatherings with classmates. Betty loved being surrounded by children especially her own grandchildren. She loved to cook and fed all who visited. Betty had a gift for decorating cakes and has made hundreds of wedding, graduation and other cakes.
Betty is survived by her husband, Don; children: Linda (Bruce) Phillips of Auburn, Don (Debbie) Anger, Jr. of Kingston, Mary Lou (Gary) Mallory of Kingston, Doraine (Troy) Caverly of Deford, Cynthia (Bill) Merriman of Sandusky, Scott (Melissa) Anger of Caro, Dallas (Deanna) Anger of Clifford; niece, Vicky Bolsby of Sandusky; father, Joseph Peet of Silverwood; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph (Trudy) Peet of Silverwood; sister, Rosemary (Mike) Strange of Allen; many nieces and nephews. Betty is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Peet.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in Kingston Wesleyan Church with Pastor Len Wyatt officiating. Interment will be in East Dayton Cemetery.
