DONALD EVARD “ANDY” ANDERSON,
77, of Cass City and Caro, died Friday, August 6, 2010 in United Hospice of Marlette Residence Center. He was born April 9, 1933 in Marlette to Evard and Ethel (Kester) Anderson. He married Lola Spencer August 7, 1954. She died January 6, 1999. He married Sally Schuster Britton November 6, 1999 in Cass City First Baptist Church.

Andy attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and Detroit Bible College. He was active in church ministry in Lincoln Park serving as Sunday School Superintendent, Deacon and Boys Brigade with Lincoln Park Bible Church. Andy moved to Caro in 1970 and lived there for over 30 years. While there he was active with Caro Gideon Ministry, Child Evangelism Fellowship. He was a member of Wahjamega Country Church serving as Sunday School Superintendent, Deacon and Word of Life Leader. He was a bus driver for Caro Community Schools for several years. Andy worked as an Independent Financial Planner with Multi-vest and later with Investment Company in Frankenmuth and then as a Financial Planner on his own. He enjoyed golfing and gardening.

Andy is survived by his wife, Sally; children: Kathleen Diane (David) Bradford of Hockessin, DE, Robert Donald (Kathy) Anderson of Vacaville, CA, Karen Lynne (Robert) Wood of Greenville, Craig Alan (Jody) Anderson of Eau Claire; 16 grandchildren: 2 great grandchildren on the way; sisters: Lucille Chandler of Sidney, Helen (Victor) Decker of Deckerville, Mary Ellen Pendell of Carson City; several nieces and nephews; step-children: Kim E. (Curt) Landrith of Cass City, Celeste (William) Bader of Deford, Leah (Cass) Ferris of Saginaw, Deanna (Jeff) Loomis of Cass City; 14 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 9, 2010 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Rev. Todd Gould of Evangelical Free Church officiating. Interment will be in Indianfields Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Anderson will be his grandchildren. Memorials may be made to United Hospice of Marlette Residence Center, Gideons, or Child Evangelism Fellowship.
