The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Donald Richards can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Julie & Family,

I am so very sorry for the great loss of your beloved father. My mother, father and I were truly blessed to have you and your family as neighbors. It warms my heart to know how much joy your parents shared with mine. Don was surely one of a kind!

Condolence From: Ed and Sharon (Gardner) Smerer
Condolence: So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing.
Sharon had your Dad as a U. S. History Teacher at Cros-Lex High School. She remembers him telling her there is no such word as "Can't". One can always find a way.

We also, had the great pleasure of having your Dad marry us 49 1/2 years ago in the Croswell R.L.D.S. church. We will have 50 years on February 15, 2019.
Your Dad was a great mentor and had a great sense of humor.
Our prayers are with your Family.

Ed and Sharon Smerer

Condolence From: Leo Gengler
Condolence: Condolences to the family of Donald Richards, husband of Geneva (dec,); Eric, Scott & Julie, with all of whom I shared contact at Cass City Schools over the past. My contact with the family began with father Harold earlier while in the east side Ruth area, sharing political philosophy. When Don and I both ended up in Cass City, mutual interests continued. My prayers with all.
