Condolence: Valmer and Marge have been such dear friends to our family. Valmer and my dad grew up in the same neighborhood and have always been close, not only as personal friends but close in a spiritual sense also. I can remember many times that my dad and Valmer would minister together. There was a kinship there that was based on trust and respect in the things of God. There was a power and authority that they ministered in that was very special.
On a personal level my dad told me many stories of the years of growing up and the mischief they would get into, nothing of a serious level, just boys being boys. They knew that they could trust each other. When they got older with families we would spend time together. We even took a combined family trip to Duluth, MN.
Valmer was always so kind and considerate. He took pride in the gift of making things...woodworking and carving. It was with great enthusiasm that he made crosses and gave them to many people. It was his way of using his craftsmanship as a tool of evangelism. What a special man.
I recall the day, July 4th, 2015 that Lori and I drove my dad and mom up to Val and Marge's home and listened to them tell old stories and sing the old songs for over 3 hours. One of the greatest memories I have of him is singing and greeting people at my mom's funeral as he got ready to leave. Many people have remarked on that day. He ran his course with integrity, honor and joy and he finished well.

We loved and admired him and will always honor him.

Condolence: I never had the pleasure of meeting him but I know a couple things about him. You can see kindness in his face. I have met a couple of his family members and they are awesome people. I wish I could have met him. I am so sorry for your loss.

Condolence: It is difficult losing a parent or a spouse, even though we know they are with our Lord, and others in Heaven. Keeping your family in prayer during this time.
