Obituary for Kyle Scott Hodder
KYLE SCOTT HODDER,
25, of Grand Rapids formerly of Cass City died suddenly from injuries received in a traffic accident Monday, September 25, 2017 in Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids. He was born July 22, 1992 in Saginaw to Sonya Lenora Teller.
Kyle graduated from Cass City High School in 2010. While in high school he played saxophone in band and studied Culinary Arts through the Tech Center. Kyle loved to cook and over the years cooked at
JJ Jamokes in Caro, Charmont Restaurant in Cass City and worked in the meat department at Erlas’s Grocery store. He was currently working at a country club in Grand Rapids as Sous-Chef. Kyle also enjoyed bowling and karate when he was young. He loved music and his partner in life, his dog, Chubbs.
Kyle is survived by his mother, Sonya Teller of Cass City; siblings: Ashley Farkas of Cass City, Christian Mellendorf of Cass City, Mariah Mellendorf of Cass City; nieces and nephews: Audrina Hartwick, Sadee Teller, Jordin Teller, Daymian Farkas, Deklin Green; grandparents: Marti and Isaac Teller of Munger, Lena Teller of Cass City; aunts and uncles: Sandi (Steve) Wright, Susie (Rob) Hartwick, Teresa Sheldon, Linda Brooks and Kris Teller; partner, Sheldon Downing of Grand Rapids; roommate and close friend, James White of Grand Rapids. Kyle is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Teller and his nephew, Dominik Green.
Memorial service held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 in Novesta Church of Christ with Brad Speirs officiating. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
