HARRY LEE WELLER,
81, of Deford died following a short illness Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in Medilodge Cass City. He was born March 9, 1936 at home in Sanilac County the second of three children born to Jasper and Grace Elizabeth (Smith) Weller.
Beginning at the age of eight, Harry began working on the family farm. He attended Beverly School in Kingston. In his teens and twenties Harry worked construction in Marlette at what later became Marlette Active Homes. In the late 60's Harry and his wife, Kathleen and their children moved to Florida. After working maintenance for many years at a dairy factory in Florida, he bought a semi and was the owner/operator of a trucking business. In about 1989 he sold the truck and moved back to Michigan. He loved to fish in Florida especially for Grouper and he loved deer hunting. Harry was a good man, a man of his word.
Harry is survived by his children: Jeanne Aten of Middleburg, FL; Terry Lee (Jenny) Weller of Palatka, FL; Patti (Anthony) Murrhee of Keystone Heights, FL; nephews: Ed (Rhonda) Yax of Deford, Mike (Paula) Yax of Deford; grandsons: Michael Shane Weller, Daniel Murrhee; great grandson, Troy Micheal Lee Weller; brothers: Harvey (Wanda) Weller of Caro, Henry Weller of Washington; sister-in-law, Linda Henry of Green Cove Springs, FL. He was preceded in death by his ex wife, Kathleen Weller; son, Ricky Allen Weller; granddaughter, April Murrhee; sister-in-law, Beverly Weller.
Memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Pastor Roger Mosey officiating. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
